For many people, the main purpose of education is to provide the necessary knowledge and training to obtain a job, yet there are also people who hold that any further education can be said to have potential in the job market. Agreeing with this latter view, this opinion will now be supported.

Primarily, there is the difficulty in knowing exactly which course of study is likely to have clear employment possibilities. For those students opting to study arts subjects such as English literature, there is no direct path; potential opportunities could include becoming a librarian, author or teacher but none of these can be said to be direct. Yet there is undeniable value in studying these subjects, as they allow for a more open-minded view of the world, an attitude which could later be useful in a business setting.

Another point to consider is the job market itself. With many industries in a constant state of evolution, studying for a particular path of employment may be redundant as the industry could well have changed direction by the time of graduation. Moreover, at the time of entering university, the majority of people do not have a clear career path and thus they choose those study courses that appeal to them rather than those that offer a clear future.

To sum up, perhaps the best solution would be to adopt a more developed system of apprenticeships  and work training, so that students can be moulded alongside changes in the industry, while those students with unfocused or general employment plans can continue with the current system.

Pls provide feedback There are various stages of life of an individual and from early years of childhood to till twenties are generally being spent by an individual in gaining education. After that, one is supposed to earn for his livelihood by joining relevant job/ business or own profession. To have a successful career one needs to be well educated with proper skills imbibed to contribute in employment. Thus a proper alignment is required in today’s job demands and the kind of education being imparted to the students. The very purpose of education or a course of study is to make the individual independent to earn his livelihood and to meet his psychological needs as per his/ her further choices. If the study course fails to serve that purpose, the career path of that individual can’t be matched properly and thus individual remains confused throughout his life until some concrete direction is given. On the contrary if an individual has got education in the area of his interest and with well-defined jobs that he can join after completion, generally tends out to be financial stable. For example, courses like C.A. leads a person to become a financial advisor, Ph.D. to become a researcher and consultant, Engineering courses for different technical jobs, MBBS to become a Medical practitioner. All such educational qualifications lead to direct employment leading individuals to meet their financial needs and live a respectable life in the society. Thus it can be concluded that for majority of people it’s very important to pursue study courses that lead to direct employment and thus choice has to be done carefully.
